4. About the organisations that we signpost to

We signpost to organisations for a number of reasons, including those that:

• we are currently working with
• we know can provide deaf friendly activities and opportunities
• have signed up to our Deaf-friendly Standard,
• are larger, well known organisations that are widely acknowledged to be experts in their field.

We will only signpost to organisations where we have deemed it safe to do so. However, we strongly recommend that you make your own checks before using any service.

If any concerns about a service are reported to us, we will stop signposting to that organisation until we are confident that it is appropriate to continue.
