Tips for recording great videos
A few quick tips to help you create brilliant video content for us.
Create great video content for NDCS
Hopefully the above video will give you a pretty good idea of what we are looking for, nothing too fancy, just great stories.
In order to make sure your video is good to go first time, we have put together a few tips for you to think about...
-
Make sure you record your video in landscape (phone turned on its side so the image is longer). This is ideal for our website.
-
If you make a mistake, don’t worry about it! We can edit it out so keep going. On the other hand, if you’d like (or find it easier), you can film a few shorter videos. We can edit it all together here.
-
It can feel strange talking to a camera and sometimes it is natural to speed up, but try and speak at a normal pace.
-
Make sure you film yourself from the waist up so it’s not just your face.
-
If you’re a parent with a young child, it would be great to include some shots of your child playing too. You can film these separately and we’ll stitch them into the video for you.
It really is as easy as that, once you have made your video you can either send it to us via text or WhatsApp to 07912 466 925.
Often, video clips are too big to send directly over email, but if you find this easier, please upload it to WeTransfer.com and send the link to [email protected]. (WeTransfer is free to use).
If you have any problems, please do drop us an email and let us know.
We can't wait to see what you come up with and are looking forward to filling up our website with lots of your fantastic first-hand stories!
