How the campaign started
How Deaf Works Everywhere started
Deaf Works Everywhere was created in collaboration with the National Deaf Children’s Society Youth Advisory Board (YAB).
The YAB are a group of 19 deaf young people aged 13 to 18 from across the UK. They have different levels of deafness and methods of communication. The board was set up to tackle issues that deaf young people face in today’s world and to provide recommendations on how to solve them.
We will run Deaf Works Everywhere until 2024 embedding resources and support into our day to day offer.
What we want to achieve
We want deaf young people and their families to have broad aspirations for what deaf young people can achieve.
We want to ensure deaf young people are well informed to make decisions on their future.
We want deaf young people to have the soft skills needed to work and progress in a range of roles.
