If you’re experiencing mental health problems, you’re not alone. Here are just a few of the organisations that might be able to help.
Not all of these organisations are open 24/7. For mental health support in an emergency, contact 999, go to A&E or text DEAF to 85258.
National Deaf Children's Society Helpline
Our Helpline is here to help and the team are happy to answer your questions. We have information and guidance on lots of different topics and can refer you to our free support services if you need more help.
Beat offers support for people with eating disorders, including practical advice, information about eating disorders and message boards where people with eating disorders can ask one another for help. You can contact Beat using:

Papyrus offers support for people under the age of 35 who are feeling suicidal, or anyone who is worried that a young person might be suicidal. Papyrus also helps people who have lost loved ones to suicide.

The UK's leading charity supporting children and young adults' mental health.
SignHealth is a charity dedicated to making sure deaf people get the same access as hearing people to healthcare and health information. Visit the BSL Health Video Library for information about mental health in BSL.
Rethink provides mental health support, advice and services. They also campaign for better mental health awareness and services in the UK.
The NHS webpage on mental health offers practical advice, interactive tools, videos and guides to help you feel mentally and emotionally better.
The Anna Freud Centre worked with young people to produce On My Mind, a webpage offering lots of advice on things like making decisions, asking for referrals and the specific mental health support available in your area. On My Mind also has a 24/7 crisis support line for young people which is run over text.
Mind has lots of advice about mental health conditions, mental health services and how to ask your doctor for help.
A deaf counselling and psychotherapy service for deaf people and children of deaf adults (CODA) over the age of 16.
Youth Access is an advice and counselling service. You can use their website to search for mental health services near you.
Nightline is a student listening service which is open at night, run by trained student volunteers. All calls are anonymous and confidential.

SAMH is Scotland's national health charity. They provide help, information and support to anyone living in Scotland.
