Take our second survey to help shape research into childhood deafness and hearing loss

We need your help to identify the most important research questions about childhood deafness and hearing loss.

We’re inviting you to take part in a follow-up survey that will help guide future research in this area.

Nearly 1,000 deaf children, young people, parents, carers, and professionals took part in the first survey. Using their responses, the project team has created a condensed list of summary questions for this follow-up survey to help identify which research topics should be prioritised.

Take part in our second survey

In the second survey, the project team would like you to tell them which of the summary questions are most important to you.

Everyone can take part, it doesn’t matter if you completed the first survey or not.

Who can take part?

  • Deaf children and young people aged under 25.
  • Parents/carers of deaf children and young people aged 0 to 18.
  • Professionals who work with deaf children and young people aged 0 to 18.

How will the survey results be used?

The project team, which includes Aston University, Lancaster University, and University of Manchester, will use the results to create a top 10 list of questions for future research.

This list will help organisations focus their health funding and research on topics that make a real difference to deaf children and their families.
